Academy Classes

EBT welcomes every child who wants to dance. There are options available for very level of interest and ability. Classes are usually grouped as follows based on strength, age, ability, class length, and number of classes taken per week.

INTRODUCTION

1. Dance With Me (2- 4 years with caregiver) 45 minutes
2. Pre-Ballet I (Pre-school) 45 minutes
3. Pre-Ballet II (Kindergarten) 1 hour
4. Pre-Ballet III (1st Grade) 1 hour

BEGINNING
Rehearsal included as part of class time unless otherwise noted.

1. Ballet I (2nd/3rd Grade) 1 hour
2. Ballet II (4th/5th Grade) 1 - 1½ hours
3. Ballet IIA (teacher recommendation) 1 - 1½ hours
4. Bounding Boys (beg./int): boys rehearsal 30 minutes, boys ballet 1 hour, capoeira 1 hour

INTERMEDIATE
Level determined by teacher placement. Minimum enrollment requirements. Some classes are technique only; others include rehearsal.

1. Ballet IIB (teacher recommendation, primary school) 1½ - 2½ hours, 3x+/wk
2. Ballet III (middle school) 1½ - 2½ hours 2-3x+/wk
3. Ballet IIIA (teacher recommendation) 2 - 3 hours 3x+/wk

ADVANCED
Level determined by ability and teacher placement. Minimum enrollment requirements. Some classes are technique only; others include rehearsal. Dancers must be on pointe.

1. Ballet IV 4x+/wk
2. Ballet IVA 4-5x/wk
3. Ballet V 5x+/wk
4. Ballet VI 5x+/wk
5. Jr. Company
6. Men’s Class


ENRICHMENT
Level determined by teacher placement. Dancers must also be enrolled in a ballet class. Modern performs in all EBT productions. Flamenco performs in spring productions. Jazz often performs. 1 - 1½ hours:
