French Teacher
Eileen Twitchell graduated with a BA in French and attended the University of Paris' program for teachers of French in foreign countries. She has taught high school French for ten years. She has also taught French and music to children ages 3 to12 an additional three years. She works independently as a translator and interpreter in French, Spanish and Italian and accompanies foreign visitors to Seattle on business and leisure tours. She spent ten days in Paris and the Savoy region of France in a Sister City exchange with Thonon-les-Bains this winter. She currently teaches second, fourth and fifth-year French at Mercer Island High School.
Incorporating games, music, art and play acting, Eileen makes language learning a cooperative performing art.
