Pianist/ Music Consultant
Judy
Huehn, pianist and teacher, has enjoyed being a music
collaborator with Emerald Ballet Theatre in their Music
Can Dance workshops for the past two years and now, in
The Jewel Heart production.
Her experience with dance stems back to her early years
as an accompanist for ballet classes at the Vancouver
Academy of Music and later, at several ballet companies
in Vancouver, B.C. including the Goh Ballet Academy.
Judy grew up in Vancouver and received her Piano
Performance Diploma from the Royal Conservatory of
Music, Toronto (A.R.C.T.) at the age of 18. She
continued her studies at the San Francisco Conservatory
of Music where she completed her Bachelor of Music
degree and received a full scholarship for her
Master of Music degree. Judy has competed
internationally and received awards as a piano duo
ensemble with pianist, Ekaterina Gueorguieva, in
Italy and Japan.
She is currently the accompanist at the Redmond High
School choir and performs locally as a soloist,
accompanist, piano duo and in a chamber ensemble. Her
next performance will be in the fall, featuring
the Brahms piano trio and solo works by Rachmaninoff
and Shostakovich. Judy also teaches at her own
piano studio in Redmond.
