Meghan Perkins
Ballet Teacher/ Rehearsal Assistant/ EBT Newsletter Editor

Meg began her dancing career over twenty years ago. She took jazz and tap as a very young girl before finally discovering what she told her mom was, "doing something beautiful." She is trained primarily in the Vaganova method.

Meg has trained up and down the west coast and in to Canada as well working with Alberta Ballet in Calgary, AB. She spent two seasons with Theatre Ballet of Spokane where she performed lead roles in both classical and contemporary ballet works. She attended college at the University of Oregon where she danced with University of Oregon Repertory Dance Company (UO-RDC). In her years with UO-RDC she toured the west coast promoting dance education and performance to rural communities. She was fortunate to learn from the best performing world premier contemporary works by Amy Lynn Stoddart, Rita Honka and Jenifer Craig. Graduating in 2004 with a B.A. in English Literature, Meg headed north where she spent 3 seasons with Ballet Bellevue teaching and performing under artistic director Viktoria Titova. She has performed soloist roles in The Sleeping Beauty, The Nutcracker, Paquita, and the premiere of Viktoria Titova's Monet's Wintergarden.

Meg has taught throughout the Puget Sound area and is proud to call Emerald Ballet Theatre home. She looks forward to working with Viktoria, the rest of the staff and students in the years to come!
