Sarah Jacobsen

Ms. Sarah’s career follows two paths  that of a dancer and an educator. She trained in the renowned Virginia Tanner Program at the University of Utah and toured for 10 years with their advanced performing group, the Children’s Dance Theatre (CDT). Ms. Jacobsen continued dancing in the University of Utah’s Bachelor of Fine Arts program, later expanding her studies into education on full scholarship. She studied with artists from Ballet West, Jose Limon, Martha Graham, Repertory Dance Theatre, Mark Morris, Tandy Beal and more. She completed degrees in Dance with Creative Arts Education with honors while performing with various artists in the San Francisco Bay Area. With her specialty in children’s pedagogue, Ms. Jacobsen taught at San Jose State University in the School of Music and Dance. She worked extensively with the California Arts Council as an artist-in-residence, as well as teaching, choreographing and performing in Maine, Utah, and Washington.
